Life @ SIMS

MBA, Service Management
Director, Information Management

Being part of a large, complex project that was recognized nationally for its innovation and organizational transformation has really confirmed the fact that SIMS is the right place to be.

The exciting part about SIMS is the diversity – working with people from all facets of the health care industry and having the opportunity to work on different projects throughout the organization. I moved all the way from BC to be part of the SIMS team and I have never looked back. SIMS has given me the opportunity to work with the best of the best in every aspect of my job. Every service company claims to have the best people, hire the best people, and offer the best work environment – SIMS truly walks the talk.

After graduating from University of Victoria with a MBA in Service Management I was determined to find an opportunity that allowed me to express my creativity as well as be exposed to an organization that respects and fosters achievement and current business methodologies. SIMS has lived up to its reputation and more.

Being part of the Project Management Office has really allowed me to participate in complex, challenging projects in a supportive, fast paced environment.

Analyst, Project Management Office

Through my experience at SIMS, I have been able to develop many valuable skills, including: workflow analysis, business process re-design and change management.

My first experience with SIMS was as a co-op student, working on a project with the Emergency Departments of Toronto General and Toronto Western Hospitals . Upon graduating with my Bachelor of Science degree, I was fortunate to return to SIMS; I knew the dynamic environment and nature of work would form a strong foundation for my career.

Since the day that I started, I have constantly had new opportunities to work with multi-disciplinary professionals in a variety of environments. When I speak with other project management professionals in the industry, many are amazed at the exposure and type of projects I am involved in as an Analyst.

Through my experience at SIMS, I have been able to develop many valuable skills, including: workflow analysis, business process re-design and change management . The work I am a part of is rewarding and worthwhile in so many ways. If you're interested making a significant contribution towards transforming health care delivery, I encourage you to join SIMS and become a part of our growing team.
